MODULE OVERVIEW
There are many physical and psychological symptoms common at the end of life. Many symptoms are observed during end of life and it is important that they be assessed and managed effectively.
- This module seeks to explore several common symptoms that patients with life-threatening diseases experience. A comprehensive review of all possible symptoms is beyond the scope of this curriculum. Symptoms will vary depending on disease, treatments (past and current), and past history, as well as other factors.
- By assessing and managing symptoms, healthcare professionals can improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
